CALL FOR REGISTRATION!!!! We are organizing a Conference for Young Therapeutic Chemists and Biochemists (II QuimBioQuim 2017) that will be held in our campus (Móstoles) of the Rey Juan Carlos University during the days 4th and 5th October. The conference has very low registration fees of only 30 or 60 Euros and include the hotel stay, coffee breaks and lunches. You can see more details in the webpage:

Breaktrhough results!!!!!! We have just published a very nice study of the environmental and angiogenic properties of Zn-doped titanium oxide nanoparticles. We have observed that we are able to generate junctions in blood vessels in chick embryo model. Many thanks to the collaboration with Dr. Patra from IICT Hyderabad (India) and his team. We are getting so nice results with their job. THOUSAND OF THANKS! You can see the paper in this link (until 4th July for free)

Is time for catalysis. Check our last results in the journals Inorganica Chimica Acta and Catalysts... improving the activity of supported Pd-nanoparticles in C-C coupling reactions. Thanks to Dr. Showkot from Jiangsu University who did a short stay with us and help us in the project and thanks to Roghayeh Sadeghi from Iran who is currently doing a research stay and working a lot in the topic... (Inorg. Chimica Acta 2017, 455P2, 645-652 and Catalysts 2017, 7, 76)

1st March 2017

Why not to continue with the work in the field of organotin(IV) anionic complexes? An old task that is being renovated in this paper (Chem. Biology & Drug Design 2017, 89, 628-63). And of course the nice review of our work in metallodrugs. Thanks Younes Ellahioui for writing and taking care of this excellent literature revision on our work in titanium, gallium, tin and other metallodrugs (Inorganics 2017, 5, 4)

15th December 2016

Almost finishing the year with nice news! Some other papers accepted. Our nice review in Current Medicinal Chemistry (Current Medicinal Chemistry 2016, 23, 4450-446), the collaborative work about Cd2+ adsorption and detection in waters with our visiting student Rim Kaabi (Microporous and Mesoporous Materials 2016, 234, 336-346) and one step more in OUR ORIGINAL IDEA (designed and born in our group) about the use silica-based nanomaterials functionalized with metallodrugs, in this case organotin(IV) derivatives, for cancer treatment (Dalton Trans 2016, 45, 18984-1899)

3rd September 2016

Our paper in Cryst Eng Comm describing the magnetic field-dependent multidrug resistance of 1D-metallopolymers has been accepted (Multifunctional Applications of a Dysprosium-Based Metal-Organic Chain with Single-Ion Magnet Behaviour). This work was carried out in collaboration with Dr. Rodríguez-Diéguez (Granada University) and Dr. Fischer-Fodor from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Many thanks for the collaboration! WE GOT THE COVER OF THE JOURNAL!!!!

23rd June 2016

Our Erasmus Praktikum Student Karla Marina leaves our group and goes back to her University, it was a pleasure to work with her. She has carried out an excellent job on the biological properties of nanomaterials... Good luck in your scientific career and in your life!
